Sports Adventure in the Yard:

Yesterday afternoon, Grayson and I ran to the back yard and played football and basketball before the temperature cooled down for the day. We had a blast on our sports adventure in the yard. Always cherish those moments going outside to unwind and have fun as life is precious.

Football Fun in the Fall:

Football Fun in the Fall:

Earlier this afternoon, Grayson and I went outside to enjoy our time in the back yard throwing a football and picking up sticks. We roamed around the yard for an hour at the most and had a woodchuck pop up from the hole and jumped back in as he saw us from a distance. A little while later, his daddy came over and we had a blast. It’s definitely important to keep a toddler’s mind engaged and room for nature exploration. We had a wonderful time partaking in football fun at the end of this beautiful fall season.

Losing the Mommy Pooch:

Losing the Mommy Pooch:

When I viewed pictures of me from the moment Grayson was born to his 2nd birthday, I knew it was time for me to change old habits and live a healthier lifestyle than ever before.

I log my calorie intake on Google Docs from breakfast through dinner and calories I burned throughout the day. I have been determined since the end of September of this year to make a weight loss goal in which I have become more active and exercising on a daily basis.

I am determined to get rid of the “Mommy pooch” and lose weight for myself and to set a better example for my son. Growing up, I was skinny and ate sweets in the pantry and not once did I ever think other than ice cream and chocolate chip cookies was bad enough that it can and will cause extreme weight gain when you don’t watch your portion intake.

I went from skinny to overweight to obese within 14 years of my life (starting from 15 years of age to now at 29 years old) and it has been a humbling yet scary experience due to diabetes running on my side of the family and I am petrified as to why I allowed myself to get in such a bad shape for my age and for as long as it continued on a downward spiral.

I no longer have excuses for myself and will continue to have a healthy relationship with food rather than eating out of boredom and eating when I “want” to. I eat in the hours I should eat and with careful moderation. Certain time frames, us women do tend to get those ravenous cravings.
